non-stop hurdle-race along Vidzeme seaside during the night and day in winter
conditions! </span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial Baltic"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:
"Arial Baltic"'>Creative group "VX" and alpinist, adventure racer
Kristaps Liepins, on February 17-18 2006 is organising the second edition of
adventure race "VX Ziema" (VX Winter). Participants will have to compete,
managing difficult track on Vidzeme sea coast line from Ainazhi to Lauchi, with
some special tasks: free orienteering in the region, crossing of rivers, high
rope course. The length of route is more than 70 kilometres! Besides the
take-off will be starting 11pm. Checkpoints are set along the route. Every team
should consist of 4 members, and at least one of them - woman.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><font size=2 face="Arial Baltic"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:
"Arial Baltic"'>Winter, the night, unpredictable weather conditions, reeds
meadows of seaside, crossing of the little rivers, snow… Vidzeme coastline
is known for its beautiful landscape - huge sea rocks, red sandstone cliffs,
steeps washed out by waves, twisty coast line, broken big trees and old,
abandoned fishing boats. At the night participants won’t see much of that
all, but they will experience what the real adventure is like! The finish of
the race will be at Lauchu Rock - one of the biggest rocks on the Vidzeme
coast. After the finish of the race - sauna, lunch, winners’ awarding.
All participants, who will finish will receive certificates. </span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
